October 8, 2015, South San Francisco:
Young writers lord it over at the well attended Fourth Plaridel Awards, excellence in Filipino American journalism awards night held at the Fort McKinley Restaurant in South San Francisco. Asian Journal, whose main office is in Los Angeles, California, was the biggest winner whose journalists ran away with six awards out of fifteen. Two of the writers, Agnes Constante and Allyson Escobar won multiple awards each.

Larry Itliong Day an annual statewide commemoration in California every October 25 with Governor Brown declaration
(SACRAMENTO, CA) – Today Gov. Brown signed AB 7 requiring California to annually
proclaim Larry Itliong’s October 25th birthdate as “Larry Itliong Day” and encourage public
schools to teach about Itliong’s life and contributions to California. By signing AB 7, Gov. Brown
guarantees that Itliong’s legacy of fighting for justice and equality will be properly honored for

PAL San Francisco moves offices to Burlingame
BURLINGAME, California – Philippine Airlines has moved to new offices in the City of Burlingame, a suburb of San Francisco and just a stone’s throw from the San Francisco Airport.
At the same time, PAL Area Manager for the San Francisco Bay Area Sol Solleza, announced the reopened PAL route to New York, which starts in March of 2015.
