San Francisco Bay Area correspondent Rommel Conclara took home the award for the “Best TV Community Reporting” category for his story on the “Lola-Kenneth Collaboration”, where a grandson is shown creating memories with his grandmother through art.
Executive producer and senior correspondent Henni Espinosa was awarded “Best TV Personality” for her story on the unique career of Pinoy mortician, Jim Navarro.
ABS-CBN International (The Filipino Channel) was also a recipient of the prestigious Torch Bearer Award for its excellence in the industry and commitment to serve the community.
Presented by the Philippine American Press Club, the Plaridel Awards recognize excellent work in Filipino American journalism.
